My daily regimen to enjoy a healthy winter.

Wow, middle of January already!

I dont know about you and where you live but it seems EVERYONE I talk to to has someone in their family who has been hit with the flu. It seems to be making its way everywhere.

Our family was hit with it too, sort of. Not this full blown nasty bug that is keeping people down all week or hospitalizing them but we have had our share of it.

At first I got upset and blamed myself for this as I ‘know better’. You see, we got lax over here in our precautions and not being proactive in keeping healthy.

I quickly realized that wasn’t going to do my family any good and decided to take action and steps NOW to keep it at away and I want to help you too.

Here is my personal regimen for staying healthy this winter. I believe it is important to safeguard ourselves and do all we can to stay healthy.

1 ) Take Vitamin C daily. Our family likes the Emergen-C

2)   Drink plenty of water. I know this can be harder in the winter when it’s cold but focus on getting at LEAST half your body weight in ounces.

4) We, here at my house, also have started taking echinacea on a daily basis.

Echinacea is a genus, or group of herbaceous flowering plants in the daisy family. Even more promising, it also reduced the duration of common colds by over a day on average.

6)   Move your body. It is important to incorporate plenty of movement into your daily life to keep things flowing and flushing out of the body.

Find a way to move, even if you can’t get outside for a walk.

Find a yoga video on YouTube or download a workout and do at home, it doesn’t matter how you move, just MOVE! Your body will thank you.
